Seascapes

My home is a coastal town. Living next to the sea has brought me a great deal of joy and understanding. After traveling on a long trip abroad, I felt a tremendous need to paint a seascape, which eventually became a series.

As I woke in the morning, a rough sea can be clearly heard. The sound is both exhilarating as well as calming. I became quite obsessed with trying to capture the seas complexity. As time passed my aim changed to an attempt to capture the rhythm of the sea, becoming increasingly conscious of the rhythms and vibrations within myself, and the synergy this has with the sea.
